Netball IBG

I came back fast after my lecture ended at 5.30pm, cos Joo wanted to go early to shoot basketball. We were pretty early, considering that the people for IBG appeared only at 7.30pm or so. From the sign-up list for Blue House, I realised that Clarinda's sister, Clarissa, was present at the court. Next, I was just trying to observe and guess who she was. After observation by some spies of mine, and my own deduction, I finally knew and confirmed who she was. It was kind of weird, cos I got her into our hall, but I had never seen her before. I only started to make conversation with her when the games were coming to an end.

SENIOR POWER? *lolx*
The seniors, consisting the four of us, Stella, Joo, Cat and I, at first grabbed the red bibs. We took GS, GA, GD and GK respectively, cos we didn't want to run much. Clarissa took the Centre. I guess most of the time she took centre, a post that she always play (i assume), which was also a post where no one liked in the past few IBG and IHG. Hall 13 girls didn't focus so much on stamina. The post of Centre always ended up to be some girl that was used to be in track or something, first criteria was stamina. Ball sense, would come after that. Think we had quite a good combi there, cos Joo and Stella were quite accurate at there shooting. Cat and I was practically standing and stoning at the defense side. After the first half, we all felt as though the seniors were big bullies. So Cat and I decided to come out and empire the game instead. Blah Blah...

LIE LOW TO AVOID INJURIES... CHAO GENG!
During the game, I didn't know when was it, there was once I got hold of the ball, and I felt that there were 2 girls from the opposing team chasing from behind. My first thought was, if I were to stand up with the ball, they might just run me down, and probably bang hard into any of my recovering parts accidentally. Next, my very reaction was just to sit onto the floor and stayed low, hugging the ball to my chest. It seemed to be me being crushed, but haha.. I was actually protecting myself. I was also worried for the two, if they had tripped and fell over me. As a result, my knees were bruised. I stood up immediately and recovered the game in quite a short time I think. lolx.

WHEN THE DEFENDERS AND THE ATTACKERS SWITCHED ROLES...
Towards the end, there was one quarter, when the 4 of us were down for game again. We decided to let the rest take the bibs, and choose among those that they left for us. To our surprise, it was the usual 4 positions that we selected at the very beginning of the IBG. This time round, we decided to swop. The defenders became the attackers and vice versa. Stupid Cat was so fast! She grabbed the GS and passed me the GA. Joo and Stella took the GK and GD. It was only then that I realised that running two-thirds of the court was soooo tiring. Just as the ball was passed to the third that I wasn't supposed to go, I thought I could take a break and rest at the mid-field. Life as a GA wasn't that easy at all. Before I could stand still for a second, our defender somehow got the ball back and I had to support and go towards the attacking side again. Shag! It was really a great workout after so long. I was glad that I managed to score a few points. *phew*

GUYS IBG SOCCER
After the IBG netball ended, Cat left for mahjong, while Joo stayed on the court to play basketball with the guys. For me, I went over to the next court, to watch the guys play soccer. Was it street soccer or did it have another name? Anyway, had a great time watching the stunts. We had Ernest as the KSK - Kio Sai King.. Whenever he got the ball, he always got stressed out when the audience cheered "Kio Sai King! Kio Sai, Kio Sai!!" *lolx* My son, as usual, got his leg whacked by someone. Something that shouldn't had been. Anyway, I had an entertaining time.
