ABOUT THE COMPETITION
IMO, out of the 5 rounds, 4 are to WL's disadvantage.

Round ONE
It's about who can "ya1 chang3" (capture audience's attention?), WL was the first performer, of course Kelly, as a second performer, would definitely have an edge over the first performer. This reminded me of last year's Hall Olympaid Opening. Hall 1 was the first team to perform, and the crowd wasn't "warmed up" yet. The judging criteria had these 2 criterias as one of those criterias they had - Crowd appeal and another thing about crowd. Repetitive fields I felt.

Round TWO
This round, about "qing1 chang4" (acapella followed by music in the middle), was more to WL's advantage. Kelly and the girls were still quite "que chang" (taken back by the crowd), probably that was why they sounded stiff and not relaxed. Acapella should be more relaxed, right?

Round THREE
Duet with JJ. This round was catered more to JJ instead of the 2 competitors. Why were all the 3 songs JJ's? Seemed to be his mini publicity and mini concert. I was more looking forward to love songs like JY and XH's wu ding, and for the guy duet, a really guy duet song, rather than breaking up JJ's song into two. The comments from the judges about Kelly sang that she sounded different from original. I think it was because it was a girl singing JJ's song with the similar pitch, will definitely sound refreshing and different. And as for WL, JJ didn't seem to bother to interact with him. He could have put his arm over the shoulder, or something. JJ's songs were higher pitch, not something WL could sing. Argh! And during their duet, JJ was so active and swaying by himself, that he made WL looked ugly on stage. (Which reminded me of 2 other persons. Cat would know who. Tsk Tsk) The trio part was even worse. The three of them seemed to be singing individually, wanting to get this over and done with.

I felt this round made JJ look very ugly. He was only there to publicise his own songs. From the conversation between the emcees and him on stage, it was obviously he didn't care about commenting. He was merely saying the model answers especially when Yi Feng asked about his comments about the finalists' performance. Without thinking for a moment, he straight away blabbered his model answer, "Oh! I think they performed better than..." Then he paused for a moment, realising that he was just saying model answers. Yi Feng was kind enough to help him by interrupting and saying that he was just being humble.

Round FOUR
It's about the Tailor made song, I felt that Li WS was really biased. The song was really to show Kelly's grooves and strengths, rather than weaknesses. I felt that WL didn't perform well after the 3rd, cos he was quite affected by the results of the previous round, when all the 5 judges chose Kelly over him.

Round FIVE
This is the last round. They sang the song that they chose themselves. Nothing much to comment. Actually, by then, I'd got pretty bored by the whole thing.


ABOUT THE FINALISTS

About KELLY
IMO, Kelly was just a vase. What she can try to do is act sweet and pretty. I wonder how much she pay or Universal records pay for those in the front rows dressing up like a mummy and also the hawaiian boys. Trying very hard in the publicity wise. She and her "xie xie, xie xie" was irritating. Think she speaks like a spoilt little child, who wants more candy. Many said that she looked like Fann Wong, another vase, IMO. About her defeat, I think she disappointed Li WS most, and probably Universal records. She actually couldn't be quite bothered cos ultimately she already signed up with Universal. I think the contract between the record companies and the two finalists were signed even before the event.

About WEILIAN
Hmm.. Nothing much to say. He's really good at love songs. The second song he sang, really was very touching. His acapella guys did a good job. Really enjoyed it. About his win over Kelly? Not surprising. Some people said that Singapore was well known for charity-related stuff or something like that... Well.. I guess him being the champion, he would had proved to many, that dreams could be pursued. As for those who were not handicapped, if they were wasting they life and rotting away, they ought to feel ashamed. (I'm probably one of those)


ABOUT JUNYANG AND XINHUI
Their performance was the only thing I looked forward to. They put on a stunning performance. What a pity it wasn't the two of them competing in the finals! There sure be more things to look forward to. I really liked XH's solo. She could have been singing that in the 2nd round if she was the finalist, and definitely better than Kelly. I liked her dress too, ribbons criss cross behind, pretty and sexy, yet not slutty. JY's fans were really enjoying every moment of his appearance. Screams were all out for him. The duet part was fantastic (I wanted to use the word orgasmic, but not very sure if it was suitable. My command of English not good). I really liked the "wu ding" (rooftop) that they sang. Everything was so perfect, until there was a part where XH got to stand in front of JY, sort of leaning on half of his chest. This view made XH looked alitte big size, cos JY looked small. Erm.. That was purely mine and my own opinion. Probably competition was out, hence, they actually enjoyed the performance more, cos the stress factor was out. They enjoyed it, I also enjoyed it.

Now, news was out. JY will be the 2nd contestant signing contract with Universal! It really looked like Li WS and Universal trying to plant people in the competition, and put them to test and get free publicity on these newcomers. If they won the competition, it would be a bonus. Well.. I guess winning it wasn't something within their control. Oh man.. Someone please sign XH up! I really liked her singing. Her always learning and improving attitude is something I liked about her.


ABOUT OTHER PERFORMERS
As for the other contestants performance, for the 1st group that performed, with Li Lijun they all inside, I was thinking that they looked like just mouthing the words. They can't be doing all the actions stuff and not panting in their singing? Or had they really improved? The clip-on mic seemed to me was just a prop.

The 2nd group that performed towards the end with XH and JY they all inside, looked more live. And they started off with Weijian! Haha.. Weijian walked down the stairs and suddenly kneeled down. His expression was SO cute! The second guy, (was it Weicong?), walked out and kneeled down too, but the effect wasn't really there. Ok.. I'm biased. Haha.


ABOUT THE JUDGES
Overall, the introduction of the judges was quite crappy. "Jue Dui Pin Pan" (Super Judges). Surely, they needed to use the word "Jue" in each of the 4 words phrase used to describe them. I felt that Xu Huan Liang's was the most apt, "Cong Ming Jue Ding". Dawn Yip's was something to do with fashion, "Zhao Xing Jue Pei" or something like that? Fang Zhong Hua's also had a very apt description. Can't remember, but it was something to describe that he's the joker who always brings laughter. Couldn't remember about Li Fei Hui and Li WS.

Think the judges made a very weird entrance. After introduction of them, it seemed like they did a catwalk on the stage. Weird. They thought they were top models or what? Haha.. Probably it was their only chance to be this glam, after so long, especially for Dawn Yip. Haha..

ABOUT DAWN YIP
In the entrance "catwalk", Dawn Yip walked so ugily. She was taking very big steps and trying to catch up with the guys. So cartoon. Next, look! Look at what she wore! Her boobs were spilling out. She really looked plump, and totally not a good publicity "model" for Jean Yip slimming and beauty services.

ABOUT LI WS
When the results came out, there were tears in his eyes. Boy, I think he was really disappointed. Next thing, if you had realised, when he got up to the stage, he only cared about Kelly. I think that the most he did was just a word of congrats to WL. (I was pretty kind for that, cos actually I think he really ignored WL totally)

ABOUT FANG ZHONG HUA
He was really funny when commenting on WL's 4th song, composed by Li Fei Hui and written by Xu Huan Liang. He was saying that WL was a mang xia (blind hero like those in olden days), and that the song they written, didn't suit him. He probably was sore that he wasn't asked to compose or write anything for the finalists. Well.. Some things he said were really lame. Out of the 4 judges, I felt that he was the only one supporting WL all the way. When announcing the results for the round 4, Yi Feng thought it would be the same as round 3, and nearly read Fang Zhong Hua's vote to Kelly. Her exclamation in her voice when reading up WL in this round explained the surprise and the happiness in her, I felt.

ABOUT LI FEI HUI
Nothing much about him. I felt he was more towards Kelly, and his feelings towards WL was more of sympathetic, and more of taking WL as a handicapped. Nothing evil or bad about him, cos I didn't really notice much about him. After the results were out, and when he went up the stage, he and Fang Zhong Hua were the only ones who really congratulated WL and talked to him. Xu Huan Liang was probably neutral, just go up and stage and find a place to stand. Dawn Yip, I couldn't be bothered with what she did on stage. Nothing glam definitely.

ABOUT XU HUAN LIANG
He was the most objective judge. Nothing much to comment on him. Out of the 5, I felt he was the most respected one. Someone who was really professional, in judging and in everything.


ABOUT THE VOTES...
Straits Times reported that the total votes received last night was 530,000!! Weilian got 64%!!
