Week 3 of Holidays..

1030 hr Basketball match against Hall 11

13 Dec, Tuesday
0830 hr Netball match against Hall 12
1830 - 2100 hr Table-tennis training

14 Dec, Wednesday
1030 - 1230 hr Basketball Training
1300 hr Table-tennis match against Hall 4

15 Dec, Thursday
Morning - Softball Females (Watching only)
2100 hr Carolling at Hall Fellows' house

16 Dec, Friday
0900 hr Hockey Training
1900 hr Carolling at SRC

12 Dec 2005, Monday

I Am 23 years and a month old!
Age is nothing to brag about..
It will only increase steadily since birth.


Basketball Match

Today we have Basketball match against Hall 11.
Previous match played on the same court trashed 70+.
Before our game started, we still thought..
Is there a need to trash until like that?
End of our game..
Our score was 84-04.
Yes, we won.
And we were quite embarassed to make that comment too early.
It was probably our Hall 13 first trash against other halls.
We felt so proud of it..

After lunch..
I didn't know why I was so keen..
I said we must bet 8404 for the upcoming 4D.
Then I felt 8404 not very accurate..
So I said we play quan da (system roll)


Males VolleyBall match

Volleyball match against Hall 3
We lost by 2 sets to 1.
A difference of 2 points.
Anyway, I think the volleyball guys' team shirt was pretty cool.


At night..

We had netball training..
Probably our last..
Oh well..

After training..
I wasn't sure why..
And how a mahjong session started in Pei Yao's room..
And Pei Yao wasn't involved in the game at all.
He was playing his laptop all along..
Those who played.. were all girls..
Me, Joo, Stefanie, Wenting, and a few others were here to watch..
We were actually thinking if we should let Pei Yao off so easily..
Cos 13 Dec is his 21st birthday!
Oh well..
Not enough manpower..
I guess all had to be postponed till later notice then!

Netball Match

It was another rainy day..
This time round..
I was the reluctant party to get out of bed..
Never felt so demoralised before.
Losing hope before the battle began..
I already lost the battle halfway.
I was pretty quiet today.
No mood to entertain..
Nor to bring spirits high..
I just wished that we would put on a good fight..

Oh yess..
Netball busted!
Yes.. We lost..
They really need a new GK..
I've been GK for 5 years in this hall..
A replacement needed!


Elias Mall!

Me, Ling and Wenting went all the way to Elias Mall..
To check out the job employment my Cindy-jie was talking about.
Ended up to be a wasted trip.
Cos they were quite firm that they preferred permanent part-timers for weekends.
And we were pretty sure that we couldn't make it.
Oh well..


Table-tennis training


My first table-tennis training that I had attended..
It was just to refresh my strokes and skills..
What skills?
I probably had none to start with..
I'm lousy at it..
Why I was a captain in my secondary school?
It was just because I'm doing all the admin and shit..
Janice was a much better player than me..

Oh well..
It was a tiring day for me..

14 Dec 2005, Wednesday

Had basketball training from 1030 -1300 hr.
Rested for 30 mins
And went for Table-tennis match.
Daphne helped me to get my fave peanut waffle from Canteen 2 .
Ate it before my match..
Not really great to play sports with too full a stomach I felt.

Oh well..
We lost our games..
Didn't want to comment on it.
Felt that it was terribly played.
I kept on bumping into Daphne..
Feeling rubbishy.

After the match..
Some of us stayed behind to practice/play for fun.
The only consolation this day was..
Some guy from other hall asked me..
If I was a freshie or year 2 student.
Go ahead and laugh at me if you are reading this!
I don't care!


I thought the tedious week of matches had ended..
Till when we came back from SRC, outside Canteen 13..
Shaun and Kok Vui received a phonecall/sms..
And asked if we knew any girls who can play tennis in hall..
I frowned.. and said..
I don't really know.. but I know how to play a little lah..
But please please please, try your best to get your players..
I'm really tired!


I returned my room..
Feeling really tired..
Then I slept..
When I woke up..
I reached for my pc..
Went to Singapore Pools website..
Checked for 4D results..
And guess what?

4804 appeared in the Starters!

We won ourselves $250
8 players on court on Monday,
So each of us earned ourselves $29.75
After deducting the bet which cost $12.

0900hr - Tennis Match against Hall 3

We let our female singles walkover.
And we won all other games.
I played mixed doubles.
My partner was Adrian.
A very assuring partner.
I was so embarassed cos he kept running around to receive the balls.


Softball Females against Hall 5

Went over to watch the softball females..
And witnessed our first softball females win in Hall 13 history.
26-25
We didn't play our last inning.
Was that how you phrased it?
Whatever..


Waterpolo against Hall 14

It was so funny.
Jason scored a tie 5-5 in the last minute.
And what was funny part?
Both Hall 13 and 14 teams were both so disappointed.

The rules were..
For a tie, they have to play on 2 more halves of 3 minutes? or so..
Then, still cannot.. then play golden goal..

The sun was damn freaking hot!
On mutual agreement..
The guys skipped the 2 halves..
And played golden goal straight away..

Our players managed to score the golden goal..
Phew..
And won the game.
Both teams were overjoyed!
Even us, the supporters were so glad that everything was over!


It was not a bad day for Hall 13!
We were on a winning streak..
And we won all the matches today!

Happy!

My energy was totally drained..
Couldn't turn up for choir practice in the evening.

16 Dec 2005, Friday

Skipped the Hockey training at 0900hr..
I was really shacked.
Simply refused to wake up to the rigorous knockings at my door.

Nothing happening today..
This was what happened..

Went to JP after their hockey trainings..
Went to pick up the 4D winnings.
Came back to watch the guys' volleyball match.
Rushed back by 4pm for D & D comm's 1st meeting.
Had dinner at Canteen 14.
Didn't go for the carolling performance at SRC.

Left hall around 8 plus for Adrian's place.
JJ drove me over, and we played mahjong there.
We played till 4 plus.
I was kind of lucky.
I finished the game off with zi4 mo1 pong4 pong4 ban4 se4..
I pong1 ba1 wan4..
Then pong1 san1 wan4..
Then pong1 si4 wan4..
Then I had 2 fa1 and 2 xi1 (my wind)
I zi4 mo1 xi1 in the end!
All cos of this..
I won some money instead!

Phew!
