Meet up with Callie-jie and my Honey Jinyan

First.. I was late..
Then two ferocious girls with their big eyes wanted to kill me.....
And weird thing.. both of them wore pink loh..

It started with all the talks of when to settle down and get married between the two of them..
Next, I was bombarded with all other questions...

"Girl ah.. When are you going to find a serious boyfriend?"
Erh... (Who doesn't want a serious bf, u tell me?!)
"When was the last time you have a serious boyfriend?"
Erh.. SARS period?! 4 years ago?! 2002 loh...


Callie-jie says..
"You see har.. If you want to pak-toh for 3 years at least before you get married, you don't have much time, if you want to get married by your ideal age of 28, you know?! You are now 24, that means you have one more year to get attached.."

JY turned to Callie and interrupted..
"One more year to find the right one some more.."

Yes.. dear girls.. are you all rushing me?!

Then asked me about my criteria...
What kind of guys will I like?
I said I go by feeling..
If feeling is correct, why not..?

What's my criteria?!
I said I kept my criteria to the minimum already..
Then came more questions...

"Can he be shorter than you?"
A straight "NO!" from me..

"What about education level? Can you accept if he's just a poly grad or even a secondary sch dropout?!"
Oh dear.. This had never crossed my mind..
Moreover, I just realised that guys that I had were all at the same level of education when we first started... Like.. I'm in secondary school, the guy is also secondary school... JC, then JC loh.. Now, don't say university.. I realised all the guys for the past years are from purely NTU, and none other universities.
So, my reply was.. I don't know cos I've never faced a situation like this..
I really don't know...
But I agree with my darl's view about the difference between poly and uni grads..

Ok.. What I feel is..
Apart from the monthly pay he got, that's a very practical part of a criteria..
The most important thing is how he treat his life... Character loh...
Most importantly, someone I can trust...


As I thought only Meiling was like this..
And it sounded pretty materialistic from her...
This two women are also like this...
They have this thought deep-rooted in their minds..

What about?!
To their hubbies, they have this mentality..
"Your money is my money;
My money is still my money"

They say.. "nan2 ren2 you3 qian2 duo1 zuo4 guai4"
Meaning, guys, once they have money, they will be up to no good.

Well..
I still strongly believe in trust over money?
If I need to control the money part to prevent the "up-to-no-good" part...
I feel that it defeats the purpose of marriage, and trust..
Okay, I'm still in my dreams..
Control over money probably is only their way of "buying insurance" in family..
I probably wouldn't get married at all, if I can't trust, though I will really want to get married.


Looking around us..
Shiying-jie's married. We wonder when will she have her baby...?
Cindy-jie's ROM-ed.. We wonder when will be the traditional wedding...
Oh... Yes.. Mr Salahuddin's married..
And Sarah Ee has a 3-month year old baby..

We wonder who will be next to get married..
The attached ones..
Nas and Ada had been together since council days...
Callie-jie and her Shanghainese bf, Kai Ming... Haha.. Kai Yun and Kai Ming..
Jinyan and her Eric bf..
Sheralyn and also another Eric bf... (I've got 3 friends' bfs called Eric loh..)
Tiong and gf.. duno who..
Kenneth and gf.. what I heard, she's not a local..?
Terence the cow, and his gf...
Who else is hitched?!

Among the 9 council guys we had, we didn't see anyone that seemed to be able to settle down in near future, except for probably Chris and probably Tiong.. or even the cow?
Well.. In a few years, there must be an influx in red bombings from the girls I guess...

Well.. No matter what comes, what may..
May everyone be happy in what they do, and the choices they made..




And stupid Callie and JY...
They say.. if Susan have a surprise wedding anytime, they definitely will ask me if it's shotgun.. cos of some stupid jokes we say.. Thanks har..
