Tiring week - I'm a Tired but Happy GirL

Monday night - Rally
Where I got known as the bomber..

Tuesday night - Piano + Visit Nelly and baby + JCRC Polling Day
Piano, once again, I felt as if I play like shit..

Nelly gave birth to a very cute, smiley baby boy on 25 Aug.
Janice and I only got to know it on Tuesday.
We went to Thomson Medical to visit her that night.
Nelly's mum was so happy...
The smile on auntie's face was 10/10 from the time we reached till we left.

A 24-year-old mum... Woah...
Who would expect that Nelly will be the first mum among us...
When will be my turn?
At least find me a husband first..

Stepping in and out of relationship too frequently in the past...
Maybe problem actually lies with me..
I didn't intend to settle down earlier on...
How about now??
I can just sit and wait....... wait.. wait....
I'm waiting and hoping.....................

I will be expecting another baby nephew around 30 Oct, Halloween baby?
And another baby nephew around 24 Dec, Christmas baby?!

Wasn't able to reach back hall by 10..
So I missed the Polling...
This is not the first time I see the post of Vice-President being contested..
The last time was 2nd JCRC - Ah Bui versus Lei moon
And Raymond won the thing..

This is the first time I see contested post, the winner didn't win the post at the end of it..
What a joke..
Shaun versus Stephanie...
Shaun won by 10-20 votes?
Yet individual total votes are less than 100 each..
That's why not valid..
There's a by-election.. I can't be bothered..


Wednesday evening till Thursday late morning..
It was rainy day..
I thought a great time to catch some rest from Tuesday's travelling..
A call from G, I had to fetch a cab down to AMK to help him out in Teachers' Day flowers..
Such a rainy day.. HOW TO FETCH CAB in this ulu NTU?
End up took bus 199 out to Jalan Bahar...
And I have to run out in the rain abit to fetch the stupid cab..
Cabby uncle didn't want to stop at the bus stop..

I became the florist shop production worker for that night till around 3am...
On auto mode and don't know what's called tired..
How amazing when someone bought me chrysanthemum,
And left it at the far left of the stall..
While I was standing at the far right of the stall all the while..
I only knew about the drink at 3am, when we were packing up..

3am, go back hall? Impossible.
G not able to pay for the midnight charges.
Go home? No way! I'm supposed to be in school...
Only solution.. Bunk into G's house loh...............
G's mum was superb..
I wondered how she did it..
We all slept so late..
And she managed to get out of the house back to the florist stall...
Before I even woke up!!
I'm such a pig.. *oinkz*

Had to give my 930 class a miss..
My first time missing that class..
I hope there isn't too many things to catch up with..
Why I had to give it a miss....?
Cos G seemed to be worried about not able to complete the 1900 stalks..
His mind and heart will be at the florist stall, if we don't go there to help in the morning..
Yes.. I'm involved in every step of the production..
Morning I went there to learn to make their standard ribbons...

G always sounds like a little boy when he asked silly questions about nature..
The question actually isn't silly, just that..
He sounded like little kid doing the "ten thousands WHY"
He asked the egg stall auntie next to the florist stall...
"Can he take any eggs, put in the incubator and get them hatched into little chickens?"
Well.. people.. go think about the answer..
And that question caused everyone to laugh at him and the question...

We couldn't attend lectures at all that day..
Simply too tired..
For him, he didn't sleep for 2 days.. except the few hrs I bunked into his house..
Both of us feeling old..
Eyes could hardly open..
Let alone being able to concentrate...
I didn't even have my notes with me..
That's even more shitty...
So, went back to hall to snooze...

Despite being so tired..
I'm a happy girl..
*warm wide smile*

Friday..
Had to come back to hall to drop some stuff..
Feeling so argh........
Yes yes.. Quite a few things that G did this week that made me feel pissed...
But knowing what he's going through and stuffs...
The intense 'irritated + pissed' feelings always dismissed very fast..
First was using my hp to sms Jossie stupid things..
Next was asking to meet me, yet didn't tell me when he had something important to attend to..
I was like.. If I didn't ask, I won't be able to know that he's not meeting me anymore..
And I will jolly well end up waiting like an idiot in my room..
Then it was Friday afternoon..
I rather disappear from canteen..
I thought I was tired that day, and I will want to rot in library for that 3 hour break..
Was quite irritated that he had to pass me stuffs that I had to bring back to hall....

Friday lunch with Wenting and the kids in Canteen 13...
I had to drag myself to the project lab....
Imagine that I was that late..
The class hadn't started loh....
The stairs and the sun, I really dreaded to climb the stairs the second time on this Friday..
*rant rant rant*

Project lab..
During discussion..
My perverted projectmate just wanted to be funny..
He said something like.. The pole will erect... Then a pause..
The other two guys were laughing and were like.. what the hell..
I was half snoozing away..
But I know what he's driving at..
I just refused to react...
Then he say.. "erh.. come out... protrude.."
Come on..
He said till so fake..
I'm not going to fall into the trap and react to the erect word..
I so feel like leaving the place asap..

G's car got clamped today...
After my project lab, I went to find him at campus security office or something..
And so funny..
The people at the office was saying..
"Oh! That car is a wanted car!"
That was so funny...

After unclamping..
I came back to room to pack abit, and left soon after...
It was too rushed..
I forgot to bring my charger back..
And also my Final Theory book...

Dinner ate Yong Tau Foo..
And dropped off at Toa Payoh..
Walked a few rounds..
Nearly got lost, cos I couldn't find the underpass to my bus stop..
Once I got onto the bus..
It's all the way snooze till the bus stop before interchange...
I was really tired..


Saturday DnD...
As usual..
I attended cos of attending...
So honoured to be at the VIP table..
Being served by the waiters and waitress..
Didn't have the pleasure of snatching and grabbing food from the dishes on lazy susan..

Stoning, looking at the stage most of the time to avoid eye contact with the female hall fellow..
Sorry, I wasn't in the entertaining mood...
Neither I want to put up the false smile, and "Hey, do you enjoy this and that..."
Ok... Some things I didn't mean it that way..
If she just want to infer like that.. Argh.. I just think it's better for me to shut up..
I'm not whatever scholar.. I don't want to talk to you...

Well.. this year's DnD was pretty well done despite of all the hiccups and miscommunications..
Some miscommunications are cos taking things for granted..
Some things that happened last time, doesn't mean it will happen again...
Only those who been through it know the standard this and that..
If things are not said.. Who will know that things are to be done this way and that?!

This is the second Latin-themed DnD I attended in NTU..
The first was by CAC 2 years ago..
The pageants had ballroom dancing instead of salsa..
Well..
Definitely we did better than CAC's that year..

CAC had the Latin themed DnD at Novotel Apollo Hotel...
The ballroom had a relatively low ceiling, and it was rather rectangular..
It's long in depth, but kinda narrow, tables are cramped..
The stage was quite pathetic as well..
The 2 VIP tables are in the centre, and the entrance/exit is at the right of the stage..
Those on the left of the stage, always had to walk in front of the VIP table...
Cos behind the table, there was barely any space...
The dancing area in front of the stage was pathetic too..
Imagine that a few couples had to do ballroom dancing on that pathetic space...
It's hard to view, cause the dance floor wasn't elevated..

Whereas for Stamford Ballroom at Stamford Swissotel..
The ceiling was good, high.. Feels more grand..
The tables were too far spaced, that's why lesser warmth in a sense..
Definitely too cramped up isn't good.
Last year's table spacing was good.
VIP table.. I got nothing much to say.. Standard loh..
Just that in CAC,
It's always the case that it's filled with mostly incoming management commitee members..
And at most one or two other DnD committee members..
First to let the new people interact and get used to entertaining the big shots..
Secondly, if the big shots ask anything about pageant or DnD,
The DnD committee members there can answer..
Okay.. The stage is spacious enough.. That's a plus point..
It definitely boosts the contestants' confidence, as compared to last year's cramped stage..
The dance item was good..
Salsa compared to ballroom dancing was more catchy and lively..
And at least they are dancing on the stage, and elevated ground..
More presentable that way...
This is the one of the first few times with proper backstage..

Many other things to comment on..
But I'm just lazy to do it and think..


During the dinner...
I just feel like going to the Jazz Bar that G brought me there twice..
I just feel like sitting there, drink some alcohol...
Listen to the soothing music...
That reminded me of my Penang trip..
The evenings that I spent in the hotel lobby..
To hear the musicians play jazz and sing..
So relaxing..
When am I going on a holiday again...?
I'm saving up for a holiday..
No intentions to shop in Singapore that often...
Where will I go next?





This should be the last Hall 13 DnD and pageant I'm going to see..
1st year, there wasn't DnD..
But there was pageant..
The pageant was held during SP night on the last day of FOC.
It's held in the Hall 12 Function Hall...
The pageants from my group Sirius was Kelvin Ho and Joanna..
Can't imagine Kelvin Ho being a pageant right?
He was kinda hot fave, cos he had the height and could at least speak proper english..
The minus points is of course he slouched and hunched abit of back when he walked..
The Hall King was a Vietnamese..
Well.. We guessed we couldn't have Hall King that's not from Hall 13, right..?
Yes, the first FOC, we had freshies from Hall 12 to 15 attending..
Cos that time, the other 3 halls did not organise any FOCs at all..
And Kelvin Ho was from Hall 12 last time..
The Hall Queen was a local, we call her BBQ - Blur Blur Queen..
Expectations from the start wasn't too high, but well, we all had a great time..

Our first DnD - Hypnosis, was held in Hotel InterContinential...
The batch of freshie was Yeomin and Crystel's batch...
Chairman was Yaw Wei.
And yes.. Dearest Yeomin was our pageant girl too..
Jack was also one of the pageant contestant..
Was Eunice one of the pageant girls too?! Hmmm...
Who else is from that year..?
From Tian1 Dao4 Men2, we had Ian and Perrine and the China man..
The pageant preview was held during FOC, at a pub at Far East Square.
Was it Boom Boom Room?! Can't remember...
And guess what?
The 2nd Hall King goes to the China man, cos he was more spontaneous..
The 2nd Hall Queen is Crystel's roomie - Vanessa, if I remember correctly..
Pretty pretty...

Our second DnD was probably planned in a rush or something...
But it was quite exclusive...
Held at Staff Club restaurant...
Chairman was probably Dawn....
The name of the DnD is the name of another pub as well..
After the event, many went to that pub cos there was a bash there..
Such a concidence.. Just couldn't remember the name..
The doorgift was those aromatherapy catalyst or something like that..
Can't remember what is that called..
Maomao asked last night, how come his year of DnD is so rundown..
Come on.. I've go no idea.. Not really that active in hall adhocs, you know...
That year, our pageant contestants were nominated by the audience..
Everyone had a look around to see the well dressed/better dressed people...
And write down the names of the ones you think they look good...
Hmm.. Was Liying asked up on stage as a representative from her OG?!
Ailin was up too, right?!
Can't really remember, but I know by hot demand...
The audience shouted Crystel and another senior guy's name..
And they formed the 6th pair.. haha..
Staff club was like a family dinner kinda thing...
I was seated with Aloy? I think.. Was it also the prof table?!
I had to go take a look at the photos...
Oh well...
The 3rd Hall King was a German, if I'm not wrong..
The 3rd Hall Queen was his partner, I don't know her man...


The 3rd DnD was held at Concorde Hotel, which is known as Holiday Inn Atrium now..
Chaired by Crystel I think...
It was Joo's batch...
Female contestants were Joo, Elena, Lauretta, and two others, I forgot..
Male contestants were Jeffery, TK, Ben Fong, Louis, and.. forgot again..
Miss Photogenic is Joo...
Mr Personality I can't remember...
4th Hall King is TK..
4th Hall Queen is Elena... Something wrong with the spelling I think...


4th DnD at Grand Royal Park Plaza Hotel, or something like that...
Chaired by supposedly Elisha..
But I felt Liying was running most of the show...
Or should I say, covering up alot of other duties...
Wenting's batch.. Last year loh...
Female contestants were Wenting, Yuxin, Shuyun, Melissa and Huixiu.
Male contestants were Jingli, Eric, Daryl, Shaun, and Kok Vui...
The first time I got myself somewhat involved in hall DnD...
5th Hall King is Jingli..
5th Hall Queen is Huixiu...

Now is the 5th DnD - El Sofisticado...
Chaired by Lim Ling Ling..
Joel and Farra had emerged as the 6th King and Queen..

And it continues...

Somehow or rather...
It had always been chaired by JCRC members or those that had retired from JCRC..
That excludes Elisha though..

Oh well... That's all..

It's been a tiring week...
Baby Nicholas and G are the two reasons why I'm a Tired but Happy Girl...
The rest of the events, are just tiring...
Yes, even to stone and keep quite is tiring...
