CONVOCATION 2007

I realised many with matric card starting 01 and 02 didn't appear today.
Like the second last guy of the ceremony, Flin..
And Bizhen...


And I realised..
We have 3 of us, from 12th Student Council, attending the same ceremony.
Namely me, Zainab and my 'ex-laogong' Hafiz!!
And I bump into Zurina too!! Cos her bf from SR till now, is convocating too!!
Wow!

Really huh.. If you didn't call me in Nanyang Auditorium Hall A..
I really don't know if I will see you..
From a very far and distant 'SUSAN!!'
After hearing my name, I have to look around for soo long before I know who called me..
And, paiseh huh.. I forgot your gf's name..
She still look as pretty as before..
Must send me the photo we took okayz?!


Erh.. Still got who..
Yah.. Today, then I realised that..
Deleting some numbers from hp doesn't work huh..
Cos the numbers are kept inside somewhere in my memory..
Yah... Hopefully years to come, I really can forget that number combi...?
Today... the nearest I could see was the stage lor..
And at the fountain, I saw that familiar Teleport machine..
Yeap.. That's about it.. =)

Just got news from Weida, that he thought I gey siao never see G...
Tmd.. Don't tell me that I'm really so blind today ah?
Or is really all people in convo just look the same..



Today's my seating in the auditorium is supposedly the VIP/GOH seats when we hold events..
Like Talentime...
First 2 rows were the 'media seats'
3rd row from the front, is the 'judges seats'
4th row.. or 5th.. will be the big shots seats..
And I was sitting directly in the centre, at the same level as the person presenting the 'cert'..
Alamak.. So good seats for such things?
I should have brought camera and take photos for all..
I charge you all at a lower rate lah.. hehe..

And yah.. probably luckily that they let me sit so front..
I realised that my vision is going from bad till worse...
Should I just go check the pain in my left side of my head..?
Sit so close, I can't even see their eyes clearly...
Their features are blurred...
And don't say about face, the NTU crest right smack in the middle, is also blurred..
Freaking scary...



Lastly, I thought the auditorium will be cool to cold..
Freaking 'sauna-fied' in my gown lor..
I felt really uncomfortable even before the whole ceremony start..
I felt so stuffy, and warm, and started perspiring cold sweat..
So afraid I would faint....

Only till after the whole ceremony..
When I got into my dad's car..
Then I realised one stupid thing that might cause me to faint...
My blouse was buttoned all the way up to my neck!!!

In future, if I was wearing a blouse...
And I was complaining of being suffocated...

CAN SOMEONE TELL SILLY OLD SUSIE...
UNBUTTON THE FIRST BUTTON, TUT!!!

Yes.. You'll be entitled to call me TUT!!!


Lucky I didn't faint...



Think my parents are damn old birds in convo...
They are already out of the auditorium, when we are only at the surnames Tan...
Faintz lor..
To think of them with their hungry stomach and outside waiting...
And I'm so stucked in the front rows, in the middle some more...
Alamak.. Right after the ceremony..
I just have to make sure I don't faint of heatstroke, and trip in my painful heels...
And next aim was to go all the way up to find mum n dad at coffee club outside..
You know what I wished to do?
Find Prof Yeo SH and Dr Yeo JH, Tony to take photo...
Upset though.. my saviours in NTU...
I won't have this day without the two of you...

My bro asked me to sneak out of the ceremony..
Reasons of not sneaking out..
First, I was really stuck in my seating area..
Next, very impolite to leave lei..
Lastly, nan2 de2 I know the last speaker of the ceremony..
I just want to stay and hear what she say..

Actually I was quite turned off by her attitude when I first met her today...
If we didn't bump into each other and so happened to have that 1 minute of stare at each other..
She wouldn't say hi to me..
Tmd.. Don't even stop to chat lor..
Ok.. First class honors.. She earned it to have such attitude..
Luckily Quanrong wasn't like that.. haha..
Not all first class honors MAE grads are like that...

Next was when we both enter the auditorium..
The people at each 'entry area' kept asking if we had the slip..
Think at the second person..
She got fed-up and said.. "I'm the VIP lei3...." or was it "I'm sitting at the VIP area..."
Maybe this wasn't her first time walking through all these..
But.. like that also need to fed-up ah.. funny..
I just don't like that attitude..

Cos knowing she was supposed to convocate in the previous ceremony, tgt with other 1st class..
And then knowing she's the VIP..
Knowing that the whole ceremony will end off with a 1st class honors speech as usual..
I stayed and waited for what she has to say..
Kinda make my hair stand though..
hehe.. ok ok.. like what I always say.. she earned her 1st class honors to it..



8+ the convo ended..
After taking the stage photos, my dad flew car back..
We wanted to go back to fetch Clarinda from Buangkok and dine together..
Who knows she had to make a conference call at 9pm... *which she forgotten at the end*
Halfway through expressway, we made a change of plans..
And flew car to AMK Ave 10 instead..
Cos my dad was saying the food there, heard not bad..
It took us probably less than 20 minutes to reach there, via KJE....
Really felt flying siah.. Vrrrrroooooommmmmmm...
See what a hungry man will do to drive to his food..?! haha

And guess what?
We got to see the last few minutes of the 2nd extra time of the Asian Cup Semi-finals..
And it got into a penalty shoot-out..
Korea goalkeeper could have saved the 3rd shootout...!
The ball just slipped under his waist and crawled over the line, into the goal..
I said.. Only if the goalkeeper was fatter, with more fats around his waist..
Then his fats would have closed up the gap to the ground, and prevented the goal...
Funny huh... I can only think of funny things..
I so wanted to see Korea to win.. but just too bad..
Like now, the Japan lost to Saudi Arabia 2-3.. upset siah..

Anyway, it's been ages since we have sat down for such a dinner..
We only have such dinners during CNY eve, and.. wedding dinners...
It feels good to eat with my dad around..
This is like a one in a thousand meals..
Though the food was so-so...
I'm happy enough..
*easily contented*



MSN conversation with Weida tonight..
Yah.. realised I'm a blind person in the midst of the crowd today..
If not for Yongjun's qian1 li3 chuan2 ying1, I wouldn't see him...
And if Zurina didn't stop me.. I wouldn't recognise her too..
Freak! How to save my eyesight?!
At night even worse..
I think better don't let me drive at night..
I have terribly poor vision as of now..
So long as I still see things, I'm fine..
I just don't want to black out anymore..
But poor vision will just affect my current work..
I won't be able to inspect certain defects..... =(
Yet...
Contradictingly, I can still manage to roughly spot where my parents are sitting..
Despite no communication between us..
Thanks to mum, for wearing so obvious red red top.. hehe..
